Is Ephedrine used for Temporary Bronchial Asthma Relief?

Interestingly, the study also highlighted the complementary use of sodium iodide. There were 32 cases receiving this treatment alongside pseudo-ephedrine. Therefore, the combination of 30 grains of sodium iodide at 6 p.m. and bedtime enhances the prophylactic effect against asthmatic attacks.

Ephedrine's lower toxicity compared to ephedrine makes it a preferable option for many patients. Especially, it safeguards against nighttime symptoms. This treatment approach offers asthma sufferers improved quality of life and better symptom management.
