Primatene is used to treat asthma symptoms, to thin mucus, it provides temporary relief of mild asthma symptoms.

Steps To Take Once You Place Your Ephed Ephedrine Order

What do I need to tell my doctor BEFORE I take Primatene Tablets for Asthma?

    If you have an allergy to Primatene Asthma (ephedrine and guaifenesin) or any part of this medicine.
    If you are allergic to any drugs like this one, any other drugs, foods, or other substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had, like rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
    If you have a cough with a lot of mucous.
    If you have a long-term cough caused by smoking or being around smoke, or lung problems like asthma or emphysema.
    If you have taken certain drugs used for low mood (depression) like isocarboxazid, phenelzine, or tranylcypromine or drugs used for Parkinson's disease like selegiline or rasagiline in the last 14 days. Taking Primatene Asthma within 14 days of those drugs can cause very bad high blood pressure.
    If you are taking a stimulant like amphetamine.

This is not a list of all drugs or health problems that interact with this medicine.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist about all of your drugs (prescription or OTC, natural products, vitamins) and health problems. You must check to make sure that it is safe for you to take Primatene Asthma with all of your drugs and health problems. Do not start, stop, or change the dose of any drug without checking with your doctor.

Adult: Do not exceed recommended dose. 1–2 tabs every 4 hours as needed. Max: 12 tabs per 24 hours.

Children: Not recommended.

Contraindications: During or within 14 days of MAOIs.

Warnings/Precautions: Asthma associated hospitalization. Cardiac disease. Hypertension. Diabetes. Thyroid disease. Seizures. Narrow angle glaucoma. Psychoses. GI or GU obstruction. Consult medical advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve within 60mins, or need 12 tabs in any day, or use >8 tabs/day for more than 3 days/week, or have >2 asthma attacks/week. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers. Interactions: Avoid caffeine-containing products, stimulant dietary supplements. Caution with other sympathomimetics (eg, phenylephrine, pseudoephedrine, ephedrine), weight control agents, antidepressants, sedatives.

    If your symptoms or health problems do not get better or if they become worse, call your doctor.
    Do not share your drugs with others and do not take anyone else's drugs.
    Keep a list of all your drugs (prescription, natural products, vitamins, OTC) with you. Give this list to your doctor.
    Talk with the doctor before starting any new drug, including prescription or OTC, natural products, or vitamins.
    Some drugs may have another patient information leaflet. Check with your pharmacist. If you have any questions about this medicine, please talk with your doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or other health care provider.
    If you think there has been an overdose, call your poison control center or get medical care right away. Be ready to tell or show what was taken, how much, and when it happened.

Pharmacological Class: Sympathomimetic + expectorant. Adverse Reactions: Nervousness, insomnia, tachycardia, tremor, seizure.
