Have you seen the guy or girl at the gym who is so dedicated to their training program that they are working out sick? Maybe I am different though if I am so sick I can’t do anything I am not going to the gym. If you notice those same people seem to always be sick or injured, as well.
Your body needs rest and recovery. It is worse actually to workout while you are sick then to not train. If you are committed to your program that doesn’t mean you show up anyway. I believe in being committed to results instead. There is a difference. The difference is that always pushing through saying I have to train when you are sick is from a fear of loss. Training for results is always making the best decision that gets you to your end game even if that is a day off. No just taking a great multi like Animal Pak doesn’t quite do it when you are sick.
When you train especially intense you weaken your immune system. Normally, just like your muscle tissue your immune system adapts and gets stronger and you get sick less often. When you train while you are sick your weaken immune system can’t fight off the illness and you allow the bug to spread fast throughout your entire body. Now, you are going to be sick longer and that takes even more time and results out of your training. I know more people who ended up having major illness that put that completely out of commission for months just because they couldn’t take one day off. There bodies eventually gave up and forced them by not being to get out of bed to take months from work everything.
I am not writing this for those looking for an excuse. If that is you get to your workout. Though if you are healthy and don’t get sick very often just take your day when you are sick take care of yourself and you will back in no time. Antioxidants are always perfect to make sure you are getting in your daily diet. With all the energy produced during intense training you will be sick all the time from a build up of free radicals without proper and more than just the RDA of antioxidants. Meridium XN is the more powerful antioxidant on the market.
One supplement as a serious athlete or strength trainer you probably never thought about taking though it could be the difference for you is a probiotic. You may not even know what a probiotic is. Probiotics are healthy bacteria that your immune system and digestive systems need for healthy function on a daily basis. The food we eat, intense exercise, many sport and bodybuilding supplements, and especially high calories diets for building mass through your digestive flora or bacteria out of balance. The lack of balance causes many distress and illness that people right off as just a bug, though they all started in your digestive system. If you are taking a lot of supplements you need to add some probiotics to keep your digestive system in balance. It may not be a testosterone booster though it may keep you healthy to see your lean muscle gains.
